Eko Studio Grant guidelines

OFFICIAL RULE

 

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. SKILL CHALLENGE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

 

ELIGIBILTY: Eko Interactive Production Grant (“Challenge”) is open and offered only to legal residents of the contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry. Submissions must be complete to be eligible. Employees and directors of Interlude US, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters and web suppliers (and the IRS dependents, immediate family members and individuals residing in the same household as any of the foregoing persons) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply. By participating, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules (“Rules”).

 

ENTRY PERIOD: Challenge begins Sept 8th, 2016 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on Oct 25th, 2016 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (“Entry Period”).

 

HOW TO ENTER: During the Entry Period, follow the on-screen instructions to submit a treatment describing your video, and an outline describing the first episode of a series on Sept 8th ("Submission"). Each Submission must meet the requirements identified below. Limit one (1) Submission per person, per email address.

If you do not wish to have advertising displayed in connection with your video, you can opt-out when submitting your Submission by contacting Interlude. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the recipient of the Production Grant, as described below, is not permitted to opt-out as indicated herein.

Each Submission must be unique, as determined by the judges in their discretion. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Sponsor’s database computer is the official timekeeping device for the Challenge. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Submissions will not be acknowledged or returned. No responsibility is assumed for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, or stolen submissions; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections, availability or accessibility; or for miscommunications, failed computer, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure; or jumbled, corrupted, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, technical or network; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of submission or other information or the failure to capture any such information. Any use of macro, automatic, programmed, robotic, or like entry methods will void all such submissions by such methods, and entrants using such methods will be disqualified. Any attempt by any entrant to submit more than one submission by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other method may void that person’s submission (if any), and he/she may be disqualified from further participation in the Challenge.

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: http://studio.helloeko.com/challenges/ifp2016 Entrant must have permission from all individuals who participated in the Submission to use their name, performance, likeness, and any other content they furnished for all purposes as contemplated in these Official Rules. If requested, entrant must be able to provide such permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor. In addition, each Submission must: (a) be the exclusive original work of the entrant; (b) be in keeping with the Sponsor’s image, (c) not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity, (d) not contain any commercial/corporate advertising, including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, and slogans other than the Sponsor's, (e) not depict any conduct or content that is unsafe, immoral, obscene or otherwise inappropriate as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion; and (f) not have been submitted in any other Challenge or won any prize. Failure to meet any of the requirements above, or to otherwise comply with these Official Rules, may result in disqualification.

All Submissions will be reviewed for content. Submissions containing prohibited content and/or otherwise deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Sponsor makes the final determination as to which Submissions are eligible to take part in the Challenge. Sponsor reserves the right to delete or blur any inappropriate content from a Submission without disqualifying the submission where, in Sponsor’s determination, such change does not materially alter the Submission and the entrant has otherwise attempted in good faith to comply with these Official Rules.

 

JUDGING OF FINALISTS/WINNER: All eligible videos will be judged by a panel of judges using the following criteria: Interactivity (25%), Storytelling (25%), and Originality (50%). Judges’ decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Challenge. The judges will select one (1) winner on or about Nov 9th, 2016. The Production Grant winner will be selected based on the Submission with the highest score as determined by the judges.

 

PRIZES: One (1) Production Grant: One (1) production grant of $10,000, in the form of a check, to produce the first episode of an interactive series described in the outline portion of the Submission. GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS: Prize is non-transferable and no substitution by winner is allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in the Sponsor’s sole discretion in the event any advertised prize becomes unavailable. Winner is responsible for all taxes due as a result of receipt of a prize.

 

VERIFICATION OF WINNER: Winner will be notified using the contact information supplied at time of entry. Production Grant winner notification is scheduled to occur on or about Nov 10th, 2016. Potential finalists may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Entry into this Challenge constitutes finalist's agreement to sign such documents. A prize may be awarded to an alternate finalist if any requested document is not returned within seven (7) days after initial notification is sent to finalist, or if prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable.

 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating, you release Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, employees, directors, and agents, including advertising agencies ("Released Entities"), from any and against any and all injury, loss or damage caused or claimed to be caused by your participation in the Challenge and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of the prize, and you agree that Released Entities are not responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the Challenge and/or the awarding of any prize, except as expressly set forth in these Official Rules; you further agree that (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Challenge, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Challenge, but in no event attorney's fees; (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (iv) any dispute will be governed by the State of New York without regard to principles of conflicts of laws, will be heard in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York, and the entrant hereby consents and waives any objection to the jurisdiction of such courts.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES: Submission materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. No responsibility is assumed for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, incomplete or illegible submissions, all of which are void; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of submission materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive submission information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Challenge. By participating, you (i) agree to be bound by these official rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Challenge. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the Challenge. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Challenge it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules; and (ii) suspend, modify or terminate the Challenge if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Challenge. Entry constitutes consent to the use of finalist's name, voice, picture and/or likeness, and recipe submitted as part of the entry process, in any and all media without restriction of any kind whatsoever, without compensation for promotion purposes to the extent allowed by law.

 

LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE THE CHALLENGE WEBSITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE CHALLENGE, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. RESIDENTS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA ARE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE CHALLENGE.

 

DATA COLLECTION/PRIVACY: Sponsor and its agencies collect personal information from you when you enter the Challenge. Entering the Challenge constitutes your permission to Sponsor to collect and maintain the data. The information collected is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://helloeko.com/about/legal/privacy.

 

FINALIST NAMES: For the names of the finalists, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Interlude, 235 Park Avenue S, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10003. Requests must be received by Dec 1st, 2016.
